Brooke McAfee is a floral designer and stylist, living in Birmingham, AL, who specializes in events and styling. With a background in interior decorating, where a few of her main focuses were window displays, staging homes, and styling; events and photo styling came naturally. "I've worked, in my opinion, with some of the best in the business. I was trained in flowers by a true artist and will forever be grateful for her guidance. After that, I worked with the event machine and helped execute up to 15 events a weekend. So going from the artist to the fast lane was probably the best education and experience I can imagine receiving and I'm so thankful for it." Lilt offers custom florals for weddings, special occasions, and styling. Her love for design and detail started at an early age, spending so much time with her naturally talented Mother, Nana and her interior designer Aunt.

"My focus with Lilt is to collaborate with clients, to help envision the best design for their personal taste and vision, and then to execute that design down to the smallest detail. I want their personality to really shine through their event."

Fun facts

“I'm one of 6 children and was raised by a very strong, fun minded, always loving and accepting mother.”

The meaning of Lilt is to move musically "which is very much how I feel when I'm working with flowers. The movement of flower arranging gives me a constant sense of wonder and imagination and I think the lines more than anything are what remind me of music"

“I moved to 30a in 2011 where I did weddings with Watercolor Inn and Resort and that really set me in the direction of events. It's constant gratification to be a part of such personal events and watching them manifest from a collaboration of ideas to a beautiful occasion.”

“Even though I own Lilt now, I still freelance for several artists in the state of AL and I am totally willing to travel. The fun in changing roles and working with so many different creatives completely fuels and challenges me. I’m definitely a 'community over competition' kind of woman.”
